Ancaster Greenbelt / Niagara Escarpment urban boundary expansion application
On December 19, 2024, the Planning Division received an Official Plan Amendment application to expand Hamilton’s urban boundary into the Greenbelt Area and Niagara Escarpment Plan Area by approximately 10 hectares to allow the development of 75 dwellings on a condominium road at 159 and 163 Sulphur Springs Road.
A virtual open house information meeting was held by City Planning Staff on July 10, 2025. The recording of the meeting will be posted here when available.
City Planning Staff want as many public comments submitted as possible so they can use the feedback in their recommendation to the Planning Committee when this proposal goes to Council for a vote in September.
